Converge is a group trip-scheduling tool. It helps a group find dates that work by comparing everyone's availability, optionally using your Google Calendar to spot conflicts. This page describes what data Converge collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Trip details you enter: trip name, date ranges, notes, your name, the dates you select, and (for organizers and signed-in participants) your email address. These are stored in our database so your group can see shared availability.
• Google account basics (only if you sign in): your name, email address, and profile photo, used to identify you to your group.
• Google Calendar data (only if you sign in and run an analysis): Converge requests read-only access to your calendar list and events. Events are fetched to compute scheduling conflicts and are processed transiently — your calendar events are never stored on our servers. Conflict analysis happens in your browser.

AI features

If you choose to tap "Summarize past events with AI," the titles, dates, and locations of your past calendar events are sent to Google's Gemini API to group related events (for example, combining a flight and hotel stay into one "trip" entry). This happens only when you request it, and the results are not stored on our servers.

How we use your information

• To show your group shared availability and help pick a date.
• To send confirmation emails to participants once a date is chosen.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your information with anyone outside the service providers that run the app (Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the trip database, Google for sign-in, calendar access, and AI summarization, and Gmail for confirmation emails).

Google API Services disclosure

Converge's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention and deletion

Trip records (names, emails, selected dates) are kept so your group can revisit the trip. To have your data deleted, email jessecmaddox@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly. You can revoke Converge's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
